The Jeep Liberty window regulator used a metal worm gear (cable) powered by a motor where the glass bracket screwed onto the cable. The bracket would strip out at the end of the cable and the glass would fall into the door. 

There are 2 different models. 2002-early 2006 use one style and late 2006-2007 use a different style. For a few years Chrysler stopped making the later style and required owners to change the regulator to the early style AND change the actual glass in the door. If your Liberty had this done there may be a sticker on the door, but if in doubt you might want to remove the door panel and see which style is used.

The regulator bracket we sell is designed differently. The bracket is attached to the cable and does not screw on to the bracket. I asm confident these will last much longer than the original. Also, these are MADE IN THE USA and include photo instructions. DIY in under 30 minutes.
